Your feedback is needed! How would you like to connect with like-minded people?

Many of our readers have found it difficult to locate meditation classes, healing circles, metaphysical shops, bookstores, like-minded people and groups, etc in their local area. We'd like to create a resource for folks to locate each other.

Is there a particular format you would find most helpful? (ie. database, web listing, facebook page, etc.)

What publications or websites do you currently use to locate groups and individuals in your area?

Do you interact with like-minded people or shops online? Which ones?

Also please comment with the names and contact information for your local groups. Include city, phone number or email, group name. If you are willing to share location, please do!

Totem Symbolism - Deer

Deer’s symbolism centers around nature, gentleness, innocence, and being in tune with your senses.

First, consider what deer may be asking you to acknowledge in yourself. Are a person of gentle nature who gives freely of unconditional love to those in your circle? Deer is in tune with the forest and the sights and sounds around her. In order to protect her young, she keeps her eyes and ears open - ready to sense things before others. She is poised to act; ready to either flee a bad situation or become a distraction in order to protect her young.

Perhaps deer is asking you to consider the opportunity to deal with a person or situation using gentleness and love. Release aggression, sense that which is beyond what is being said or done, and invite a bit of innocence into the situation.

Gentleness has the power to affect change in a way that more aggressive tactics cannot.

Expect new opportunities and adventures. Like many of deer’s traits, these may be subtle opportunities. Use your senses. Reconnecting with nature will help you be more in tune with your senses and know when/what action is needed.

Try This:

Each morning, before getting out of bed, take a minute or so to imagine the sunlight filling your entire body and aura. In your mind's eye, see your body vibrating with light - every cell energized and charged with divine light.

Imagine a small ball of light about 8 inches above the crown of your head that holds your true self - the self without worry, with eternal knowing, the self which needs no money, no food, no water. This is the self that originates from love and is inseparable from you. This is who you really are. Connect with this part of yourself. Say "thank you".

Make one wish. This wish doesn't necessarily need to be a wish that can be fulfilled in one day, but make it meaningful to you. It may be lighthearted or serious - it may be anything that flows from your true self and reflects what you genuinely wish for your life or the lives of those around you.

See with your mind's eye once more how you look as a vibrating body of light. Feel once more how it feels to be a light-filled body. Take a deep breath. Smile. Say "Thank you". Begin your day.

After a few days of this practice, you may want to write a journal post about how it feels to start the day this way - how your energy level is different, how your day begins on the right foot, how your stress level is lower, how it is easier to look at all people in your life with love. You may feel you want to write down the wishes that come to mind each morning. Eventually, you'll see a pattern in your life that is leading you to fulfillment of these wishes. Fulfillment may come in a way that is different than you expected. Likely, it will be much more perfect.
